The development of this series of favorite selections is rooted in my passion to preserve a segment of our Christian musical heritage. Having been a church pianist for 50 years, I know that these melodies are deeply ingrained in our memories from decades of expressing our faith.
This compilation of favorites consists primarily of my own keyboard arrangements.
An attribute of uniqueness is punctuated by:
- the interpretive style employed in arranging and performing
- the larger than average number of selections per CD, and
- the variety of musical modes utilized.
Although the predominant mode is traditionally conservative, you will hear some diversions. Such melodies as Victory in Jesus, It Is Well With My Soul, Everytime I Feel the Spirit, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, and Just a Closer Walk With Thee require, by their very nature, a wide spectrum of musical styles.
My hope is that you might enjoy listening to these arrangements of nostalgic melodies as much as I enjoy producing them.
Watch for new releases with an average of one CD per 6 months. At this rate I will have reached my 80th birthday at the completion of CD #12.
Do either you or I expect this series to terminate at the release of #12? Of course not! However, it may need to be continued in heaven with an upgrade in quality.
